@mathias @Zach777 @jupiter_rowland one of the things about quoting is notifications when getting quoted. the ability to disable quoting won't stop someone from link quoting, but it can stop someone from having their notifications spammed by quote tweets. and it will decrease the number of quote tweets by a lot regardless.

It won't catch everything, that's probably impossible but it makes finding interesting and like-minded dialog magnitudes easier.
