BOCVIP · Anyone think that the US will end up buying its own bonds if Japan and or China dump them at dangerous levels?I don’t know much about economics or the bond market, but I do understand that there is some correlation between bond supply, the interest rates on the bonds and perceived confidence in the US dollar/US economic machine and its institutions (or at least I think that I do). That said, with everything this administration has been doing recently, do you think there’s a chance that, to “save” the US economy, we will begin to buy our own bonds if the interest rates get too high from other countries dumping them? For 8 years I had a triplex rental in Virginia and it was insured through Loudon. I had no problems, but my State Farm agent convinced me to drop Loudon and move it to State Farm with all my other houses and cars, umbrella and life insurance. I told them that we have been saving for four years, to finally renovate the kitchen, replace some windows, and add an addition that adds a back stairwell and combines two units to make it a duplex. I've had a lot of issues with this job as is when it comes to compensation. I was being insultingly underpaid when I first started, then proceeded to take on all the work of another person when they quit. I negotiated for a bit more money, but I'm still not making enough to pay rent anywhere, I have to live at home. We get no medical, no 401k, zero benefits. Only 'benefit' is WFH, but I end up working at all hours because we're somewhat global. This is a small company, FYI, under 20 employees. Pulled in around 3-4mill

My child is a Senior and will probably not have much aid from scholarships, etc. He has to commit by May 1st. We haven’t officially applied for the loan as we are waiting for his final decision. I’m reading horror stories in this thread and we are super scared on what’s coming ahead. We can’t seem to find an accurate payment calculator online due to all the changes.
