TV Commercial Rant:
I don’t know who else has HULU for TV, but where we live, we are CONSTANTLY bombarded with Liberty Mutual commercials.
They play every single commercial break. Sometimes, twice during the same break, 24/7/365.
That kind of brainwashing tactics always backfires with me. I will never, ever, ever, buy their product.
I now mute the commercials as quickly as I can grab the remote.
However, HULU often won’t let you fast forward through commercials, even on recordings!
That aggravates me even more.
What? I can’t fast forward through recorded shows, or live shows that I have paused, specifically to fast forward through commercials?
Remember when TV was free, but the condition for receiving free TV, was having to sit through commercials?
Then, cable pay TV came out, so we could pay for TV, without commercials.
But networks slowly breached their contracts, and began inserting commercials on pay TV.
Now, we pay through the nose for commercials.
We used to have DirecTV, but it wasn’t cost effective, paying $175 per month for TV.
So, we switched to HULU, because we would have essentially, the same channels, minus the 300 garbage channels we didn’t want anyways.
HULU was way cheaper, at first. All of our channels, plus Prime and HBO Max was roughly $80 per month, saving us 50% over DirecTV..
But those prices have slowly crept up, and are approaching DirecTV rates.
So now, we are looking for alternatives. Maybe no TV at all!

I went from watching whatever was on to actually having to research television, movies and media. My entertainment is much more rewarding.
I'm nomadic so I don't always have connectivity but when I do, I'm pirating movies and what not for these cold winter nights out here in the woods.
There is a bit of a learning curve but it's easy enough.
@Vanlife Thanks for the info, but my wife would kill me.
She wants her real tv!
@politicalfinger well then you're going to be paying that bill.
