Pound for pound, my favorite #80s Cure album for sure, & only beat out by Wish overall (I know I’m in the minority with Wish).
A great Sunday spin, with a good balance of the doom + gloom Robert Smith, & the catchy, sunny Bob.
I always forget how great “Six Different Ways” is until I hear it again.
Definitely should have been a single.

@TheVinylApe I've just been reading the current issue of Classic Pop magazine and they have a multi-page album-by-album retrospective of The Cure's work.
The mag doesn't give a ranking of which they think is the best but they certainly have good words to say for The Head On The Door, describing it as "that rare bid for the mainstream which also avoids pandering to the masses".

@TheVinylApe love this record. It's the only one I can really tolerate enough to listen to. Robert's voice can grate my ears sometimes.
