My pre-2001 "Special Edition" DVDs from HK (with suspiciously misspelled words hither and yon on the covers 
) had the annoyingly stupid CGI rings and random "WTH are these?" scenes but Han stays Han.
As I am a disaster at non-commercial file sites, I'm satisfied with what I have 
but I thank you for the info, David, as it warms the cockles of my George Lucas-despising heart
