LashuntaI Inspirational PiC of the Week

Not only do I believe this would be a good armor style for Lashunta Outriders, but I was also struck by the armor's eminent practicality, something often missing from female armor in fantasy. This is armor that I would want to wear (and I've worn armor)!

I also like the spear's style. I don't see Outriders using long knight-style lances. When you're fighting on a horse-sized lizard that is perched on a Megadendron tree-branch, or even more interestingly vertical while it climbs up or down the trunk, long lances seem unwieldy. Instead, one would need something that came be handled 360 degrees in three dimensions, depending on where the threat is oriented. The heavy spear-blade, while it still may be primarily a thrusting weapon, can still stand up to percussive hits if it's used more like a polearm glaive.
