Couple more #PeerTube things:
If beginners want to find out about PeerTube in a safe and easy way, send them to my PeerTube site:
I've reformatted it to be a "one stop shop" for anyone curious about PeerTube, with useful non-technical info alongside safe interesting content. Channels are curated through an allowlist, so people won't see any nasty stuff.
The other thing: if you want an app for PeerTube accounts, try https://newpipe.net or https://fedilab.app
@feditips Do you know if peertube is accessible for those of us who use screen readers?
@PynkEmber @feditips When I tried it was, but that was a few months ago. Should check it out again cause YouTube is really becoming intolerable. Ads everywhere, stupid shorts, it's insane.
Great question!
I think @weirdwriter has used PeerTube a certain amount, might be able to comment on accessibility options?
PeerTube supports audio-only uploads, and the latest version includes podcast feed support, so there's definitely potential for non-visual users.
Also, you can follow PeerTube accounts from Mastodon so that is another route for accessing the content.
