@Noodles - It was exactly that! Antarctic Press did a one-shot graphic novel that reprinted Star Trek doujinshi, and it did so well, they decided to make it a series. They only got one issue out until Paramount brought the hammer down, as it was all unlicensed.

Apparentrly there was a second issue, but I don't remember ever seeing it, and I worked in AP's comic shop....
