@LadyDragonfly Indeed, and it's not even enough. Things like scapegoating historically targeted minorities also need to be disqualifying.
@LadyDragonfly The smart way to do this (develop a democracy preserving constitution) would be to study all the methods dictators have used to come to power, and make any activity similar to any if them, each individually enumerated and described in unambiguous terms, disqualifying for the ballot at all levels of government.
@LadyDragonfly it doesn't appear to me (IANAL) to prohibit "seeking" office, rather it prohibits "holding" office. Also it includes a provision where 2/3 of Congress can override this restriction.
