Post-surgery, I have set up my laptop so that I automatically have to look down at the screen and keep my face and eye in the correct 'healing position'.
This is a follow up to https://universeodon.com/@KrajciTom/114235557537292237
@KrajciTom Hope you have a good recovery!
The surgeon didn't tell me what gas he used. I'm trying to figure out how long my bubble will last.
"...typically about 3 to 5 days for air, 2 to 3 weeks for SF6, and approximately 6 to 8 weeks for C3F8."
I'll ask when I get my 1-week follow up.
@KrajciTom Well, glad you got it treated quickly. I have been told if I ever have that issue to go to the ER. (bad eyesight here, risk of detachment... so no bungee jumping for me LOL)
@KrajciTom @ai6yr Huh. Unrelated to your eye, but maybe interesting to the technically minded: SF6 is what we used as insulating gas in the fiber glass enclosure around a 150MV, 1MW tetrode by in my HV engineering days. One time the gas broke down and a hole was punched clear through about 3/4" of fiberglass by the electrical discharge.
