#TunisianCrochet project I’m making for a friend’s new baby. It’s much slower going than I expected. I hope to finish before the child hits grade school
@Kasulay
Very lovely!
@GlennMG thank you
@Kasulay looks good though. I made a baby jacket for my niece. By the time it was done it was only useful as dolls clothes
@CaraBruar I’m hoping this actually makes it to small blanket size
@Kasulay That's a really nice pattern there, but not simple, given you're working with three colours. That plus the fact that it isn't fat chunky yarn is probably what is making it slow going.
@kerravonsen all true, plus it’s Tunisian crochet so automatically takes longer IMO.
@Kasulay Yeah, I find that I'm quickest at standard crochet. Though I'm also improving my knitting enough that my garter stitch is pretty quick on straight needles. (I find circulars tend to slow things down for me.)
@kerravonsen I’m planning a standard crochet border so at least that’ll go quick, ha
@Kasulay What is that stitch, by the way? Do you have a URL for a tutorial for it? I'd like to try it.
@kerravonsen It is from a Tunisian crochet baby blanket booklet I purchased through Annie’s Crafts. It is basically alternating Tunisian crochet stitch with reverse Tunisian crochet stitch, pretty simple. There is a lady on youtube (TL Yarn Crafts) who has excellent tutorials
@Kasulay Oh yes, I've seen some of her videos!
