Road Trip, Day 2:
We stopped at Carlsbad Caverns. It was lovely. But two of the elevators were broken, and there were lots of visitors for the holiday, so it took twice as long as we had planned for that particular activity. Which meant we didn't get to go to White Sands National Park this afternoon.
After leaving Texas yesterday and spending the night in New Mexico, we ended up having to drive back through Texas to get where we wanted to go in New Mexico today. Texas is too big.
Overall, 8/10. On a day when all the elevators work, I recommend walking down the natural entrance into the caverns, but not back up.
