What do: Twitter (downgraded to X), SpaceX and Tesla have in common?
They're all run by someone that quite a lot of people hate.
Yesterday a post from someone who I think should probably mind their words a good bit, said that since Apple now re-advertises on twitter, they are quote unquote, 'A Nazi company.'

Now I don't know about you, but after a while, words like 'Woke' and 'Nazi' and 'Snowflake' and 'Gammon' all start to become background noise and cease to mean anything really, diluting their actual meaning at all.

There will be people working at all these companies, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Jews that are simply trying to make ends meet.
Are they all, due to their jobs now also Nazis, because they are run by someone who has in recent times been acting as a Nazi?

It seems to me that someone can behave very badly without tarnishing those that work in his companies with the same brush. Am I wrong?
Perhaps it's time to start having a care how we label people.

@FreakyFwoof Or perhaps it’s time to stop working for and with nazis. “I was just following orders” is not a defence. “I did it to make another billion” is even less so. Apple made a choice. X isn’t the only place they could advertise. They probably won’t even get any new customers. The only reason they did it is to signal support for musk and his actions.

@fastfinge Last post in the thread agrees with this. My point is if you call companies that pay him that, what about the workers that work at his companies? If your mum/dad/family member did and it was literally all they could find, you surely wouldn't nazify them.

@FreakyFwoof I absolutely would. I would rather die than take orders from a nazi. That’s the choice a lot of people will have to make in the coming months. If they don’t, the death of democracy in the US is inevitable.

@fastfinge Fair enough, I think that's the most extremist left view there is, so far that it ends up being back on the right. Any extremism is basically like the other side anyway, but you do you I guess.

@FreakyFwoof So the people who fought hitler were just extremests? Trump has effectively declared a Cold War on Canada. If being willing to fight and die to defend my freedom, and believing others must do the same, is extreme, so be it.

@fastfinge I suppose it must be different being next door to the sweaty bastards club which you are, here, it's more distant, so I don't feel quite so angry at the thing. I understand why you feel that way, given that fact.

@FreakyFwoof Yes. Trump is quite serious about making Canada a state. He’s said multiple times economic warfare is his plan.

Andre Louis

@fastfinge Time to enlist methinks. Or get LTT to like, rip out the connection to all his properties so he can't post covfefe online anymore.

@FreakyFwoof I would if they’d take me. But as a blind guy all I can do is post online calling his supporters mean names in hopes at least one of them can be pressured into quitting following orders. And refuse to buy American products. And attend protests. I don’t think you, as someone not directly in trumps crosshairs, gets to judge me for that.

@fastfinge Wasn't even you I was judging. It was the guy that runs mastodon, and I was also wanting to see whether people that work for the musk companies should also immediately be tarred with nazi brushes. I don't think so...

@fastfinge If you feel judged, well... Are you guilty of something?

@FreakyFwoof Absolutely yes. If they all went on strike he would have to change his behavior pretty quickly. Passivity isn’t really an option in wartime.
