I'm restarting my new/favourite #HarryPotter #Fanfic thread here, since #BirdSite is well, that... Let's start with this incredible thing, which is keeping me so engrossed that I cannot put it down, other than to type this. I will add to the thread with subsequent reads, and perhaps some old favourites.

When Harry Potter was 8, Severus took him from the Dursleys, but never stopped hating and mistreating him. The time has come for Severus to learn the consequences of his choices.
@FreakyFwoof I always appreciate AO3 links because downloading them onto my phone is only a few taps. Which device/app do you use to read these days?
@simon Notepad 2.
@FreakyFwoof That's very early 2000's of you. Does being tethered to the computer ever get annoying?
@simon No, because I read with Orpheus and only Orpheus. I always have a laptop with me and when I don't, I just watch youtube/listen to podcasts instead. It is just how I do things.
@FreakyFwoof @simon hah :) I kinda feel like I'm hearing myself talking here. I don't read with Orpheus, but my computer practically IS all I really read on, as well. I use my phone for things when Ihave to but given everything I do is 20 times faster on a computer, I tendto avoid if at all possible, rather just use a laptop
@zersiax @FreakyFwoof @simon Wow, I do a lot of the stuff on a phone or an iPad these days, even reading. Sometimes I read on a computer, but not often these days. I always go the txt approach rather than making audio with something. Although, I've been wanting to.
@tardis @FreakyFwoof @simon nope, nope, nope. I don't have the voices I want, I'll brush my screen and jump five pages down, some rando notification will interrupt my reading, I'll want to check the spelling of something and my braille display isn't connected... no thanks :)
@zersiax @FreakyFwoof @simon Hahaha. Nah, I don't care about notifications, I stop them. I have emergency contacts, so if someone really wants to call, they have to be an emergency. I have less apps on the iPad than I do on the phone though, so only have Slack, as I can't avoid that. I can't read on a computer. Not being able to lie down and read on a computer, nope. No no no. :)
@FreakyFwoof @zersiax @simon Everything. I don't have a nightstand. I am mostly reading audio books nowadays, because I didn't have access to those when I was younger, and now that I do, I just enjoy. But usually when I go to bed, I sleep.
@FreakyFwoof @zersiax @simon I unwind by simply meditation. I can't read and sleep to be fair.
