Poor Things exceeded my expectations. It would make a great double feature w/ Bertrand Bonello’s The Beast. It’s Yin & Yang. But whereas it’s past trauma that makes us human in Bonello’s dystopia, Lanthimos chooses to overlook the past & move forward. It’s much more optimistic.
