Every kid who is a bit quiet or a bit of a loner or any form of learning difficulty is now diagnosed as “autism spectrum”. Which unfortunately starts at zero, and means those who really need help at the higher end miss out. We are moving to such a narrow definition of normal that the real spectrum of life is being eradicated. #NDIS #AUTISM

Spent an hour throwing everything at at least half a dozen fish doing this. It was like a dolphin show with multiple #trout out of the water at the same time. Eventually tail between our legs we moved on. But what fun. #flyfishing.

Meanwhile, in Australia, we just had a state election where conservatives and progressive parties happily chatted to each other outside polling booths, and ultimately the losing incumbent (conservative) warmly congratulated his opponent on their win at the end of it. Have to say I was anti #Elon before it was popular. Always looked to my like he wanted to be Tony Stark, but came over more like Syndrome from the Incredibles.

Darkened sounds that taste of love
A distant vision of wakened worlds
A feeling of something grows inside
A thought of strength that weekly builds
A knowledge of something
Waiting to be found

What’s your favourite thing about #twexit or #twittermigration ? For me it’s not the lack of unsavoury types or posts, because that will come. It’s the lack of an #algorithm deciding what I should and shouldn’t see. I want to see all sides no matter how much I disagree or it risks becoming another echo chamber like the other place. Bring on discussion, not just consensus.
