So I finally scored an invite to Bluesky, and have to say, considering how excited I was to try it, I'm very underwhelmed - expected a lot more from it.
No direct or private messaging (at least that I can find), no hashtags (how the heck do you find people or posts of topics that interest you?). It just seems kinda' half-baked, honestly.
I am deleting my 'X' account just as soon as I get my archive, and will probably make this place my main home. Just SO much more functionality. I get that it's (Bluesky) in Beta, but it really has the feel of a senior project or something lol - expected more from Jack.
@perpetualmystic Try Threads! I wish #UFOTWITTER would move to Threads.
@Corby the only bummer about threads is that there isn't a desktop version yet. And seeing as how I spend a lot of my day on one, it really limits it for me. I've read about some ways you can get it to work on a desktop, perhaps I need to try one. I've got an account there, and like it!
