Sharing in the interest of rejecting the stigma around these things... I've added Duloxetine (Cymbalta) to the list of meds I take every day.
I am hopeful it will help with pain, but even more hopeful that it will boost my mental well-being, raise the bar of what I can accomplish in a day, and keep my spirits up while on this wild health journey.
@AshleyMarineP good luck with this one! I know many have had very good luck with it. It did reduce my pain almost immediately but made me so dissociative I couldn’t cope, even on the starter dose.
@Nannyogg63 Thank you! These are the side effects that terrify me, to be honest. I've been on Duloxetine once before and don't recall feeling loopy, but the fact that I can't recall it may just mean I was too loopy to register it was happening. I wanted Bupropion (Wellbutrin) which I loved when I was on it before, but they don't prescribe it here in the UK.
@AshleyMarineP I hope it helps! I actually took it years ago for MH and it didn't do much on its own, but years later started taking it for nerve pain (and was already on other MH meds) and it has helped a lot!
@lucas Thank you! Hope things are on the upward trajectory for you as well.
@AshleyMarineP I've been taking Duloxetine for a few years now, it really helps my chronic pain. Hope it works for you as well!
@karlpybara Thank you!
